Mission Statement:
The Children’s Church Ministry will implement a developmentally-appropriate scriptural based curriculum and activities as advised by the Pastor and Christian Education Leader for children from ages 1-10.
Objectives/Goals:
• Prepare children for transition from children’s church to active participators in sanctuary worship.
• To provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for children to learn.
• Appropriately discipline children (inappropriate behaviors) and praise (appropriate behaviors) by means of: positive reinforcement, rewards, and/or natural/logical consequences.
• Provide a healthy and nutritious snack.
• Encourage active participation from children.
• Encourage parental support through attendance at all meetings, trainings, workshops, and conferences with their children.
• Support the major functions of the church and outings (engagements) of the Pastor regularly.
• Encourage participation at midweek prayer and bible study.
• Improve and encourage attendance and participation in church ministries and functions.
All children will be encouraged to tithe or at least contribute to the ministry on a regular basis.Understanding that children are not employed we will encourage the parents to provide for the children monetarily.
